Faces - Three.js

Meaning of faces:

Does a, b, and c represent each vertex? X, Y, Z? And together they make a face?

So I hovered the last bottom right face and this is what I got:

  1. face:

    1. a: 119

    2. b: 120

    3. c: 109

    Does this mean, x = 119, y = 120, z = 109? If so should it be -1 to 1? This is confusing.

    Also, what is happening here?

        color.setX(intersect[0].face.a, 0)
        color.setY(intersect[0].face.a, 0)
        color.setZ(intersect[0].face.a, 1)
